The show will be held at Third floor Theatre, Hecksher Building (Museo del Barrio building), 1 East 104th st. New York, NY, 11101. Tickets are $16, and $12 in advance at www.casenave.com After several succesful performances in Uruguay, Argentina and New York, melding Barranguet's abstract art with Casenave's virtuous music, we are invited to enjoy this Tango tribute. Barranguet will be painting side by side with Tango Casenave Quartet, with reknown musicians Héctor del Curto (Eternal Tango Orchestra 's director and former bandoneonist from Osvaldo Pugliese's Orchestra ), Pedro Giraudo (jazz bassist and composer, Giraudo Jazz Orchestra), Nick Danielson (violinist, New York City Ballet, Orpheus, Fiddler on the Roof) and Gustavo Casenave, pianist, composer and musical director, performing Casenave's original tangos.Casenave will also present a very special arrangement, as a tribute to the 90th anniversary of the famous uruguayan tango "La cumparsita". The show will also feature internationally acclaimed Tango dancers Angel Garcia Clemente and Valeria Solomonoff. Barranguet studied with Larry Poons, William Scharf and Frank O'Cain at "The Art Students League" in New York, and with Clever Lara in Montevideo . She was part of a group show for the winners of the " Merit Scholarship from the Art Students League", at "Cork Gallery" in Lincoln Center. Her artwork has travel the world through exhibitions, galleries, shows etc, including cities and countries like China, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Spain, Austria, USA, Puerto Rico, Argentina and Uruguay.
