Argentines Humberto Décima and Elizabeth Olivera delighted dancers at American 
Tango Institute last Saturday night with their 3 song performance, particularly 
the milonga finale. This week they will showcase at several milongas, including 
Cafe Duvall (2257 W 23rd Place, Chicago IL 60608) on Thursday and Mariposa on 
Friday.
Humberto and Elizabeth will teach the pre-milonga class at Mariposa on Friday, 
August 15, "The rhythm and phrasing of Milonga Lisa and Milonga with Traspie." 
The class, from 8:00-9:30 p, costs $15 per person. Carlos Favre will DJ at 
Milonga Vida following the class, from 9:30 p to 1:30 a, also costs $15. 
Mariposa Studio is located at 4001 N Ravenswood (on the east side of the train 
tracks), Chicago IL 60613.  The showcase will be danced around 11:00 p.

Mr. Décima and Ms. Olivera, from Buenos Aires, are noted for their particularly 
elegant style of interpretation, as well as their deep understanding of the 
historic elements of Tango that they are carrying forward to a new generation 
of dancers.  Their teaching focuses on creating an understanding of the 
aesthetics, body dynamics and discipline that support the dancing of tango.  
Humberto Décima’s extensive teaching background since 2000 includes:  
Instructor at Tango Education Center of Buenos Aires, Co-director of “2 Para El 
Tango” Argentine Tango dance school, Co-director of the Argentine Tango Dance 
Company – “Tangos para el
Encuentro”, Assistant Teacher from 2005-2008 at the International Tango 
Congress, and an Assistant Teacher at the “Tango Experience International 
Workshop” from 2005-2007 with Diego Di Falco and Carolina Zokalsky.  Humberto 
also has taught throughout Europe since  2004.  He has given tango performances 
or exhibitions in Buenos Aires, as well as in Germany, Holland, Belgium, 
Netherland, France, Spain, Italy, and England. Humberto started dancing in the 
early 1990’s.  He has studied milonguero, salon and stage tango with the most 
renowned Argentine teachers.  
Elizabeth is the founding partner, artistic director and choreographer of the 
“E.O.P. Tango Company” (www.eoptango.com), based in Buenos Aires.  Since 2007, 
she is the co-director and instructor in the Argentine Tango school “2 Para el 
Tango”, in partnership with
Humberto Décima and Maria Celia Arias. She also has been an Assistant teacher 
from 2005-2008 at the International Tango Congress in Buenos Aires. Elizabeth, 
dancing since 2000, has studied formally with great Argentinean teachers.  
In addition, Humberto and Elizabeth are experts Tangotherapy (™ in Argentina), 
an alternative to health through art, dance, the connection with others, 
self-reflection and learning in collaboration with a group. Founded in 
conjunction with Maria Celia Arias, Tangotherapy™ comes from the essence of 
dance: from the natural, organic and spontaneous movements occurring in humans’ 
daily life. It is a corporal technique, interrelating Art (via dance) and 
Science (via psychology). Dancers Humberto, with a Master’s degree in 
Psychology, and Elizabeth, with a Nursing degree, integrate Tangotherapy™ into 
their teaching and dancing.
