The Early, Early Bird Discount to the Chicago Mini Tango Festival (www.chicagotangofestival.com) will expire in less than two weeks.
The festival will be held from April 17-19, 2009 at the University of Chicago in the Hyde Park section of Chicago. Pre-festival workshops will also be held on Thursday, April 16, 2009. The instructors for the Chicago Mini Tango Festival include: Ruben Harymbat and Enriqueta Kleinman (Buenos Aires) Gustavo Benzecry and Maria Olivera (Buenos Aires) Ramiro Gigliotti and Elina Roldan (Buenos Aires). Djs include: Vijay Namasivayam (San Francisco) Ko Tanaka (New York) Ilene Marder (Woodstock, NY) Paul Akmajian (Albuquerque, New Mexico) The full festival pass will be $160 prior to January 1, 2009. The Saturday Arrival festival pass will be $135 prior to January 1, 2009. The full festival student pass will be $110 prior to January 1, 2009. The pass includes ability to select from up to 20 classes. There will also be 6 milongas (including our Argentina night milonga with wine and empanadas and fantastic performances. There will also be a special chat session on the "History of Golden Era of Tango". There will be a special Master Class taught by Elina Roldan and Enriqueta Kleinman titled: "DOS MIRADAS SOBRE EL TANGO SALON Y MILONGUERO" or "Two Looks at Tango Salon and Tango Milonguero".
