My experience is that it goes both ways, i.e. if someone is entering the floor 
and dancing couples see them, then they may slow down and let them enter, or 
not, depending on the traffic, but by the same token if the entering couple 
notices that the dancers are not aware of them then they should yield and 
carefully enter. It may mean waiting for a second or two but it is basically 
common courtesy and similar to entering a busy automobile lane.
