I couldn't make head nor tails of Mario's post, but Michael's question is something I've been thinking about for awhile, in that I'm not sure how I feel to my partner. I get compliments on my leading--that it's clear and musical; I lead fairly basic stuff, and recently have come to think that I rush my turns. I wonder if followers don't realize how much better a turn could be. In any case, I don't feel bad leading, but it surprises me that women like it so much. I don't get many compliments on my following, although recently I've gotten a few comments that I'm dancing much smoother than I used to. Plus in the past few weeks, with a few crucial privates, I'm undergoing something of a seachange in my following, and am more often feeling really solid in my dancing. I think that translates to a good feeling for my leader, but I don't know for sure. So: can you tell how you feel to your partner? --Sharon _______________________________________________ Tango-L mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/tango-l
