I think that a detailed documentation would really need a fair amount of time and wouldn't allow to release tapestry 4 anytime soon. The release is really about bugs and features. I completly agree about the documentation and Tapestry needs something like Hibernate's documentation. I believe that Hibernate documentation is its main strength (even more than the framework which wasn't that great on version 2). But with the complexity of the 4 version (and especially all the hivemind stuff), it is a serious chunck of work. Even hivemind lacks of detailed documentation in several areas. The learning curve of the version 4 will be probably pretty step for a beginner. Even understanding the meaning of the hivedoc is not trivial IMO. Maybe there should be a walthrough of the VLib?
