Howard,

Perhaps if you step up to the plate with the proviso of a strictly time
limited tenure it might help. I suspect that people will be happier to
stand to replace you once they see how the project actually runs, and find
out what (and how little) will actually be involved in chairing the PMC.

(I'd be happy to do the same thing if you really don't want to and no one
more appropriate steps up, but I don't really think its appropriate for me
to nominate myself because although I'm a member and a Jakarta pmc member
I'm a Tapestry user, not a commiter.)
