My thoughts - when in doubt (of it working, of getting buy in, of
whether it's the right path or not): branch. Yeah - that heads up was a
very good thing to post, but so as not to slow down a branch gives you
your own area to flesh things out in. [then you deal with merges, which
can be a pain - but at least it's merging working with working, not
working with 'oops' ;-)]

Glad to hear you're getting there, tho'! :-)
