If you have a simple service with 10 pages, then having a full Virtual Server is overkill I think.

Bad IMO. You should better backup the data 1-2 times each day and put it on another machine somehere else (on your personal computer for exanmple). Do timestamped backups (backups-db-2005-12-12_12.00.00.tar) to keep various versions of your DB if problem arise.
