I agree with Don. I have some Pro37Rs and I love 'em. They sound good
on mandos. I also have some Oktava MC012s that I dig on certain things
(but not Mando). To my ear, the KSM32 is the best mic I own for my
mando.

For context, our current recording setup, I've got KSM32s on mando,
fiddle and vocals. On banjo, we're using an Audio Technica 4033.
Guitar gets an AT Pro37r. On bass a Shure SM58 rolled in a towel and
stuffed behind the endpin. So far, so good.
