I've known other people to do the same thing as you do, Pete. Just
seems to me to be unnecessary to change grip for one thing or the
other. But I know you to be proficient at what you do, so maybe it
works for you to change grip. I can see the possibility of needing to
change grip for stylistic purposes, but I don't play more than one
vein/style of music really(country, that's right) so one grip works
for me for everything I struggle through. At the risk of appearing a
horse's ass, I'll say this...seems to me there's a line that gets
crossed a lot of the time where there's more thought going into
technical issues than letting the music be the focal point.

Different strokes(pardon the pun) for different folks. If a person has
a sound they're trying to get out, I reckon they'll find a way to get
it done.
