Thanks guys, that's good to know and a relief that I'm not "Robinson Crusoe".
I haven't had to practice in the car but I've got a large garage under the house that comes in handy when the guys come over for a jam. It's becoming a 2nd home down there because aside from tinkering with a bit of wood shaping etc, I now have a free lounge from eBay, a kettle and an old bar fridge. The young fella loves to play cars in the late afternoon whilst I do my stuff but it's usually interupted by his need to do what I'm doing and so forth. Still, it's a good set-up. Nelson I have an Eastman which has been cased since getting my new instrument and although I'm thinking it will come in handy for alternate tunings etc, I can't bring myself to play it after enjoying the glorious tones of the Duff F5. I'd like to experiment with a mandola but don't want to get too far off track with my goals at present. So much to do, wouldn't be dead for quids!
