Mike, I sent away to some place in NYC or even maybe telephoned to order, they only had Book 1 and 2. I wonder if he even made book 3. If you can stand to go to the trouble there are likely some copies about somewhere in your area. I got mine in the early 90's.
Never heard of Bickfords. Interested...too. I think William Place was playing mandolin in the 30's. The books have been reprinted several times. Every now and again I do a big computer search...no luck ever. Have seen book 1 and 2 for sale once in a blue moon.
