Lots of valid comments here, actually, ALL valid comments. But I did
tune my Gil F4 up to AEAE once for a month with no visible or audible
signs of damage. I wouldn't do some of the older, lighter mandos that
way however. I think that GDGD-capo-at-the-2nd-fret ideer is good. I
would also follow Topher-san's suggestion to find appropriate string
gauges. I keep wondering what gauges would be required to tune in EGAD
tuning.
