I had the opportunity to get up close and personal with an embossing
press some dozen years ago. Thanks to a faulty switch, the thing
kissed my index, middle/social, and ring fingers with 15 tons pressure
from tip to second knuckle. Had it not been for the 1/4" gap between
dies, I'd have a permanent rock-n-roll sign going. Still, 8 breaks and
a lot of busted skin, plus a number of weeks of bending fingers that
were reluctant to bend. Still have to do it. Yow...I know a few
luthiers around town here who've become acquainted with Table Saw the
Sonofabitch. Seems like being musical is hazardous work. Why don't we
all just quit it before we hurt ourselves?

Nah...forget I said that. Sometimes it seems like playing fiddle tunes
is about the only thing that pulls me through the day.
