Another lady oldtime fiddler of note(sorry...) is Clelia Stefanini,

I agree with Brian's observation regarding the future of bluegrass and
oldtime. There's a lot of new oldtime players on the scene that can
really carry the mail, but I'm not seeing/hearing a new crop of
traditionally based bluegrassers. It's almost as if the culture that
spawned it has been left in the weeds and the sound went with it.
Sure, it was a hard-assed culture, but there was a lot of good in it
too. Hell, things have gotta change I know, it's just a shame that we
can't seem to hang onto all the good stuff.
