It came with 10-38's on it, G and D brass wound, but all too old to
use. I decided against the 10-40's so what I have I think is
10-34's. That was all the choice from local stores. Might see about
the ones you use for next time, and order them in myself.

I have one of those english made ones here. The pot is 8 inches but
there is the metal that holds the skin and then the thick wood ring
that it attached to it so the total diameter is 10.25 inches.

I have not been able to that one in tune enough to play. Somebody
gave it to me and I had it worked on, money wasted. I have spared
yall the long story and saga of trying to get one that works. This one
I am waiting for, I bought, it is the 4th one I have tried. Its also
the 4th one I have paid to get work done on. A fool and their
money...

They used them in schools here way back and they are everywhere in
garages and under the house, etc. All mostly cheap ones with bent
necks and wood ring collapsing, because of green wood when made and
poor structural design. Imagine how the teacher felt at the end of
the day...say 20 - 25 of those little babies all going at once! Now
that does sound like punishment.
