Well shoot, I mean, it's a different style of music, so I don't assume
that one thing will work for everything. Seems to me that bluegrass
rhythm styles work real well for bluegrass bands, but not necessarily
very well for anything else, though that is not meant to be a blanket
statement. I reckon it could be compared to trying to speak two
languages at once. It can get awkward. Though I was at an all-night
jam session once that included a trombone player. And, there used to
be a young guy that came to the Station Inn and played killer
saxophone solos to Monroe tunes. He melted "Big Mon" down.

There ain't no rules...
