Maybe what Fred plays is the Stroh. He can be found on banjo hangout as festusbug, he plays banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar and sings. He loves and can seriously play American old time music, started our band here, has inspired so many people to this kind of music. There are a few audio files of his music on banjo and fiddle hangout sites. His hands and fingers look like spiders to me when he plays, as his fingers can work so independently. He often talks about NC Roundtop style...old time. linda
Topher, I like your idears...maybe the horn could go down at the bottom where where. <G> linda On Jan 21, 10:29 am, Topher Gayle <[email protected]> wrote: > Wow! > > I think I've seen something similar - the Stroh fiddle. > > I imagine you could build one, and I do not know if it's been done, > but I bet someone somewhere has tried it!
