Yes that is right, the green ones, flat and kidney shaped, are lima
beans; your combination sounds so delicious.  Butter beans have a
nuttier flavor, and instead of green they are a reddish brown with
pink or cream speckles on them, but turn brown when they are cooked.
Folks like to eat them with Cornbread, which is made with white flour
and ground corn meal, milk, eggs, tiny bit sugar and baking powder and
oil, baked.  It comes out like a cake.

Sometimes thing to do is crumble up the baked cornbread into cold or
warm milk making a porriage out of it.  Sometimes they liked to put
the crumbled up cornbread into buttermilk, instead of regular milk,
butter milk is kinda sour.  It was thought of at our house as the poor
mans snack.  It is very bland, no good spices anywhere.  I suppose it
could be called comfort food.
