I'm glad I entered the competition too (I didn't even bring my Campanella, I
borrowed a Gibson F5 from a nice picker I met there). I got second place and
that came as a complete shock to me, I guess the judges liked the Monroe
stuff.

It felt weird that a guy from Sweden would do well in a mandolin competition
in the Blue Ridge Mountains, but I was happy as can be of course :)
