I agree with you , Mark. I play a few different mandolins, each of which is over 80 years old. They have made it this far and are in great shape. I can't imagine what a person who would want to check the mandolin out and play a tune or two could do to hurt my instrument. Then again, they were all under $100 (amazingly!) so I am not concerned about a financial investment.
