My ear likes the "ancient tones" but I appreciate the younger pickers keeping the old tunes alive and interpreting them in different ways. Nate Leath was the second fiddler that jumped in. I've had the good fortune to hear him live several times. He can play any style and play it well. He was just stretching out on this one and having some fun. That being said........would I buy a recording of fiddle tunes played like this? Probably not!
