That's cool, Brian. I posted this to this group for discussion, not
approval. Like you, I really enjoy the old time tunes as old time
tunes.  I also like jazz and improv, so its interesting to me when a
familiar melody gets picked up and tossed around. I like the fact that
the tune was still there in the end, and that's unfortunately rare
with the current crop of musicians plying their chops.
