Okay, here's my first pick. The tune is the Mississippi version of "Grub Springs" played by John Hatcher. Some of you may have learned a bit of this on lesson day. I have posted the notation/tab on the 'files' section of the group. Snag it before January or it'll be gone. There is a video of Clelia Stefanini and Tatiana Hargreaves playing this tune on Youtube.
Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoW3ac31gvU As I hear it, there's really only A and G chords in this with a whisper of E on the ends. This tune is one I've been wanting to get a better grip on myself. The hard part for me is to get around the restrictions the frets put on the slides and drags, especially in the B section. Several ways to order the parts. You all play it how it suits you. I have my way. The tune is played out of standard tuning, but could be moved to AEAE. On a side note, Happy Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for you all. The world's a better place with you in it. Life is good. mistertaterbug -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Taterbugmando" group.
