Hi,

Some users in our community are interested in two features:

   1. a web based GUI to model a Taverna workflow

This may be done as part of one of our projects next year, but only for a very very simple workflows. This is really not at the top of our agenda at the moment although it would certainly come very handy.

   1. a input validator when running a workflow. Say, it will prompt
you that some input ports are not fed and it might cause error.

Are we talking about the Web interface or the Workbench? Because the Workbench already has this validation built-in. As for the Web-based interface, on of us (Rory) worked on something similar using Java portlets - like an input form generator interface for a workflow where you could specify constraints, that user's inputs would be checked against. Source code for the NetBeans project containing the interface builder as part of the Taverna Portal Toolkit app. can be found at:

It would be good to know if any of them are in your agenda.
  Thanks,
Wei

Cheers,
Alex
