Hello, Is it possible or could it be made possible to drag and drop a string from anywhere on my computer directly onto the workflow canvas?
As far as I can see for Taverna1 or 2 you will have to add a string constant in Taverna first, choose to edit it in Taverna, and then you could drag/drop a string into the opened text box. It would be much quicker if anything dropped onto the canvas could be directly imported as a string constant (at least its string representation)*. I believe this is possible with java. It would help me a lot with one of my workflows. A second related question to the developers: Is it possible to have minor improvements be made available in intermediate updates of Taverna 1 and 2? You did so for Taverna1, which was very nice. * also nice if Web Services could be imported by drag and drop of wsdl reference strings. Many thanks!
