A few more suggestions for you tracer.
try unsubscribing, then resubscribe to the list.
check, if the correct ACS permissions set for the mail folder.
try moving the message that will not delete, can you move it, then rename
it, then delete it?
a re-boot? Never know.. ;o)
check the filters for some kind of copy new inbound to... iteration.
