Okay,  let  me  see  if I'm understanding you correctly.  TB! 1.42b1
*seemingly*,  at  least,  deleted  a  total  of  about 200-300 or so
messages  from various folders which I had designated as compress on
exit,  etc.   I  decided  to keep this release, quickly going in and
removing  the  purge/compress/max  #  of messages properties from my
folders,  and  it  seems  okay  now.   (Except,  of  course, for the
"missing" messages.)

Are  you  saying  that the new beta (soon, please) will "find" those
that  are  still  there, just not indexed, and they'll automagically
reappear?   That  would  be  tres  cool.   Now  that my insurance is
treating  me  for the heart attack I had upon seeing them go bye-bye
earlier.  :-)
