Pass. They may be planning a different approach in V2.

It should do. As with the paragraphs in this reply, all paragraphs are
separated by a completely empty line. That is what TB needs to be able
to distinguish individual paragraphs. Once that is the case, the only
was of combining multiple paragraphs using Alt-L is to select text
across the boundary and then press the Alt-L keystroke. This may be
what you are doing. If so, then you probably haven't tried simply
pressing Alt-L within the paragraph you want to reformat with marking
the text first.
