You don't need to - unless you *are* intending to become a Win32
programmer, in which case I will be invoicing you for the tuition fee
<g>.
The Start and End positions are the span of the current marked text
block within an edit control window (this is about M$ Win32 API, not
component libraries). Now, and here's the important bit, End position
can precede Start position - no problem.
Like I said *VERY* clearly, the above quote comes from the Micro$oft
MSDN Win32 API specification documentation. The End position value
gives the current caret position. QED.
