I have to agree. The "basic" features of TB! are quite easy to use,
if different from most other mail programs, and it is a bit harder to
use than most that first time computer users would normaly be exposed
to (I.E. Outlook Express), but it isn't any harder to use than say Netscape
Communicator. Now, filters and macros are a bit more daunting, but
not terribly bad to learn either. Better documentation would
certainly help. Even the FAQ doesn't help all that much.
But for anyone that has used the net for a long time, and especially
for people that want more power and features, TB! is definatelly the
way to go. I have to say I've used most halfway descent mail programs
out there that are any good. Eudora Pro, OE, Netscape, Outlook, Poco
(Which is certainly the EASIEST to use), Pine, and Pegasus are all
good programs, but each have their own faults. I would have to say
that Pegasus is the closest to TB! in 'feel' and Eudora Pro is the
closest in power, but none match TB! for combining the two. Eudora
also is a resource hog, something which more and more programs are
getting trapped by. TB! Fortunately gives you plenty of power without
being a major drain on system resource, even on a lowly Pentium 90 (My
backup PC).
