Hello TBBETA Members! I had hoped with my changing from XP to W7-64 this old problem would have been gone: TB is not [fully] used for MAPI or even just MAILTO.
A few screengrabs to illustrate: http://www.screencast.com/t/szfthJkHMe Shows the associations for The Bat! in W7's default programs dialogue. http://www.screencast.com/t/hbvcG7sjgHBa a) Despite W7 being set to use TB as default mailer, Opera shows Outlook as system's default [it never was]. b) The customised program handler for TB doesn't work. http://www.screencast.com/t/w0UBfOfG W7's system's defaults shows TB as 'owning all standards'. http://www.screencast.com/t/ByPNDsfyc4ep All file formats and protocols checked and associated. http://www.screencast.com/t/93ciEQkfP W7's dialogue shows MAILTO associated with TB. I hope all description are correctly assigned, if not, the pics on Screencast have them right. Problems: 1. Clicking on a MAILTO link in Opera gives an error message/page by Opera - 'Internal communication error'. 2. Clicking on e-mail notifications from Trillian opens Outlook instead of TB. Same happens when I 'Open Inbox' for an account in Trillian. 3. Using Send to->E-mail client via context-menu on files does not work; it gives a [OUTLOOK] dialogue about the size of the file [if an image] but upon clicking 'OK' nothing happens. 4. Using Send to->The Bat!* via context-menu on files doesn't do anything at all. *I put that in manually. 5. With luck some e-mail address clicked in some programs trigger a New Message window from TB - regrettably completely empty, although intricate templates are defined. -- Dierk Haasis [DH² Publishing] The Bat 5.0.22.15 (ALPHA) on Windows 7 6.1 7601 Service Pack 1 Chat info upon request Tolerance, compassion, charity, steadfastness and faith are considered Christian virtues, i.e. virtues that modern Christians feel they should have ...
