I understand that "sucks" is a MR> respected technical term, I wouldn't call "sucks" a technical term, although I don't like SuSE either. ;-) But that is more of a personal preference than anything else. I can only find one reason against SuSE: The optimisation of their distribution for KDE. IMHO KDE is a huge and slow GUI and I still prefer Gnome or something even lighter. I don't know if this has changed, but it was true for version 7.1. Personally, I'd recommend Mandrake or Redhat for a beginner. A (*much*) more experienced user could also use Debian, but a beginner should stay away from this distribution, it's frustrating (I tried :-). -- Regards, Lars The Bat! 1.54/10 on Windows NT 5.0 Build 2195 Service Pack 2 ____________________________________________________________ | Lars Geiger | <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | -- _________________________________________________________ Archives : http://tbbeta.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Latest Beta: 1.54 beta/10 Wish List : http://wish.thebat.dutaint.com
