None that I was aware of. You can set a default encoding for new
messages, but for replies you'd have to use a macro. Maybe this is worth
a feature request?

Ah, now I know the English word for it. And I see the connection between
that symbol and a "D�bel". Although I have to admit that all I've seen
so far had only 2 spikes.

I don't think you will receive a good result with any version. As we
could see from the thread, the encoding is correct. It seems that TB has
a problem when displaying encoded subject fields (I don't know if it
affects other header fields as well). IIRC, somewhere before Beta 31 the
displaying was correct.

GnuPG showed it as good.

BTW, I just filed a bug report for this problem, #501, if you or someone
else wants to add something I missed.
