Hm, actually the bq Quick Template doesn't wrap any text, does it?
Maybe I don't understand your question. You have a long line and
want it to be boxquoted like

| long line long line long line long line long line long line long line long line long
line long line long line long line long line long line long line long line long line
long line long line

and not like
,----
| long line long line long line long line long line long line long
| line long line long line long line long line long line long line
| long line long line long line long line long line long line

, right?
Of course you could easily combine boxquoting with wrapping (the QT
Januk posted earlier on this list), but I usually boxquote text that
I don't want to be additionally wrapped. YMMV.
