Hi
I've been an ardent user of The Bat! for close to 2 years. A series of
incidents (spam galore) has finally made me make this post/request:
1) Why do I still get tens of thousands of .tmp files in my Windows TEMP
directory? I originally thought it was a bug in The Bat! 2 years ago, but it's
still actively happening with the most recent version.
2) I receive thousands of messages a week, all year long. Ultimately my 250MB
of disk space gets all used up. I can't drag & drop messages off to the
'Trash' from my Inbox since there is no disk space. So I have to delete a few
files, purge, delete some more files, purge, etc. until I exponentially expand
my disk space (this is painstaking). Is there a way to have files deleted from
the Inbox without having them go to the Trash folder? I am also an avid user
of Agent and I don't have to do any of this maintenance with it.
2b) Vice versa, can I have filters which delete files on the server and not
download them, aka. spam messages?
3) Here is a long standing 'bug' in The Bat. The first two drop-down file
types in the 'Save As' attachment on my machine are:
AutoCAD Emergency Backup Drawing (*.$$$)
AutoCAD Temporary File (*.$A)
This means that my saved attachments get extensions of .$$$ if I forgot or
don't select the *.* file selector. Could this be fixed so that *.* always
come first in the selector list?
Regards,
Robert Lansdale, Okino Computer Graphics.
