However, according to BayesIt! logfile, it doesn't matter what exactly number you'll assign. During last 500 letters I have only 2 or 3 with score different than 0..1 for non-spam and 99..100 for spam. So, anything from 2 to 98 seems to be well. So, the varying between 2 and 98 can influent only to these 2 or 3 letters from 500 received. So, I think that 70 is quite well. One confusing can be if you use default settings - i.e. "move to" of the score greater than 60, and "delete" if the score greater than 80. So, if the filter was well-trained (initially), the most of the spam will get the grade 99..100 - and will be deleted, of course. And the user will think that the filter doesn't catch the spam at all, because the spam with the grade 60..80 (which is necessary for it to be moved to the junk mail in the case of default settings) is really seldom event, and you can spend many time waiting while your "junk mail" folder will be created. -- Sincerely, Alexey.
