I read your post. Bit tough to get at first, but I've seen my share of those lame messages on other lists and feel the same way you do. I'm not too familiar with the programs that require confirmation of not being spam, but I'm pretty sure there is some kind of whitelist option. It's just like the Out of Office replies that get sent to mailing lists.
