What wonders me is the grand discussion ensuing by such a minor
"inconvenience" asked from us by the moderators. We are only talking a
sensible change of the subject line if the subject of the message is
other than the line says, that is, if the thread changes its contents.
This, BTW, has always been part of Netiquette in Usenet.
Together with the very old - sometimes one should read the monthly
list rules reminder - directives to *open a new thread* if one has a
new subject instead of replying to a message should tae care of
everything.
If only we try to use our brains for consideration and sensibility
instead of whining and finding loopholes (no, the W.C. Fileds was
inserted randomly by TB, but just fits perfectly). Lately the list
obviously tries to convince me that it is not Germany but the whole
world discussing minor possible quibbles to principal problems of the
World's design.
Let's try to be constructive instead of discussive for a change.
