I just tested it and it works as you described on my home computer.

However, this is not what I want. When the first common filter
catches, I don't want the other 100 or so common filters tested.
simply because it takes minutes and on occasion, makes TB choke on it
(tried it).

However, I need the account level filters only to makr the messages
with something so I know which account they were first sent to, before
being moved to the folders that they share, so I know which account
to reply from. I chose to try colour groups.

Most filters are common filters, as messages come in through all
accounts. The accounts are department accounts (seafreight, airfreight
import, airfreight export, etc all having their own email address, but
I need to check all department accounts). This is the revolutionary
new set-up in the office, we used to work with only one general
account that needed to be read by all managers. I still read all email
across all accounts until the department managers have the
communication under control (transition period).

The folders are country folders, so all mails coming from Germany will
be sorted into the Germany folder etc. I do not want to duplicate my
folder structre for each account but use the existing folder structure
of the "old" general account, which will also still continue to
receive mails.

I need to be able to reply from the account that the mail was
originally sent to, though. Maybe I am think along the wrong track.
Does anybody have an idea how I could do what I want?

Setting all common filters to "Continue Processing..." is not
practical, over 100 filters with tens of OR conditions each makes TB
choke, literally.

Thomas.
