Both files contain the line: gdmsbprd:/0900310a80131e46?DMS_OBJECT_SPEC=CHRONICLE_ID&DMS_VLAB=CURRENT However, "User Guide.DRL" contains a newline (CR+LF) sequence, while "User Guide 2.DRL" does not. It could very well be that your "Documentum" software dies on the extra newline that The Bat! seems to have added. Note that if I save these files, one is 74 bytes and the other is 72 bytes, although The Bat! claims they are 78 and 75 bytes! This may be another (unrelated) bug, though...
