"Buggy beta"? Isn't that what you expect from betas?

Sorry, but I don't remember that discussion. We took them to task for
surprising us with a major release when we thought we were testing the
next in a series of 2.x releases. But, either way, I don't think
anyone ever complained about being told when approximately we should
expect the next beta or what new features we might expect to have in
it. I also don't think anyone ever complained about being given a
general picture of what we might see coming over the next several
months.

Dean, I'm sorry, but I find this hard to credit. I might be wrong, but
I don't think that this is what is going on here. And I also think
that you are reading a heck of a lot into Marck's very terse response.
