Maybe. But then why stop a process where someone is getting immediate help for a problem that indirectly affects everyone on this list. As Tim just mentioned, what this is really about is gaining a handle on a signature that is ridiculously long - more than twice the length of most of the author's actual messages and sometimes as much as ten times as long as the author's actual messages. Given the number of reminders that we all receive from the moderators on this list in relation to top-quoting and sig delimiter, I think the topic is quite relevant to this list - even if it is still going under a rather irrelevant topic title. :-) Anyway, that's just my opinion, David.
