As said - it was an example.

... and what an example! ;)

But with your argument we start now a philosophical thread:

Not really. Just one of introducing the importance of priority in terms of program usability. I'm currently not using TB! and hopefully, this will only be temporary. I guess this is why I find that jumping text bug, which I'm familiar with, to be laughable as one to consider any time soon. That's for when TB! is working very well and you're polishing it off. I can't use TB! at the moment. I wish my problems were along the vein of jumping text and other cosmetic bugs.

Many bugs will continue to remain ancient and unfixed for similar reasons. They're not crippling or they affect only few users, they're rarely encountered, or they're easily circumvented. In the meantime, they're other bugs or fixes required to maintain real usability. If those are always present, then they'll always be the priority.

TB!'s rapid development is a two edged sword in that the new features are welcome by many who wish for them. However, the addition of new features lead to new crippling bugs that require fixing. So the minor ones, classified as such for the reasons sited earlier, never really get any attention.

A single fact can spoil a good argument.
