Hi 9Val!

IMAP is worse than ever. I waited for 20 minutes now to get a new
message list from the server. But maybe that is a gmx problem as the
long queue time...
If you have slow connection try to reduce message count in folder, use
archivation and purging.

I have a fast connection, well I thought I have :-)

What do you mean with archivation and purging? Do you mean I should copy read mails from the server to a local (common) folder? Or do you mean that I should delete my precious TBBeta mails from the folder on the server?

As I tend to collect every mail I ever got, the TBBeta folder has now nearly 20000 mails, but that doesn't pose any problems with Thunderbird or the webmail interface of gmx.
