He means moving older messages to local folders.
That doesn't make much sense with IMAP, do it? The reason to use IMAP is that one can be sure, someone else makes the backup :-)
Well, that's leads to the question: Is there an IMAP proxy somewhere out there? (Answers please also as private copy to me, as I'm away for three weeks now.)nearly 20000 mails, but that doesn't pose any problems with Thunderbird or the webmail interface of gmx.
ThunderBird may not have problems, but TB! seems to unless your connection is very quick, i.e., LAN speed. :)
