(There's no "Save as" on the context menu.) Clicking "Save" actually brings up a "Save As" dialogue window, with a choice of where to place the attached file. So, that can be done. But you won't immediately get to open the file--one more step, have to either bring up the application where you put it or, if you put it on the Desktop, double-click it there to open it. Still, if you don't like the solution of storing attachments separately, it's a way to handle opening the document or image with its original file name and without having to replace The Bat!'s temporary file name in the application you use to see it in. NB, as Peter Palmreuther and several others pointed out to me, even in storing messages separately TB! may occasionally have to change the file name (adding a distinguishing number) to avoid confusion between attachments that have identical file names, or to avoid overwriting a file. After all the long discussion, I am inclined to view the behavior as currently set up for The Bat! as the best way to have things done. Still beats a physical filing cabinet full of paper by a country mile, in terms of speed and convenience. ;) -- Best regards, Mary The Bat 3.5 Return RC9 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 3.5 Return RC/9 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
