Well, it turns out it is and you have given me the clue.

I had never explored the LDIF format files until now that you suggested
them. So, the first thing I did before even trying your suggested
template was to export one of my ABs to a LDIF format file and... Voila!
The information I need/want (the date the entry was added) _is_ included
in the AB. It is just not visible, but if the AB is exported, the date
and time is exported as 'modifyTimeStamp'.

So, as long as the date and time is already there in the AB id good
enough for me for the moment. I don't need to check/verify this date
very frequently. So, although it would be nice to be able to see it in
the AB itself, or usable with a macro, for the moment I can get away by
exporting the AB to LDIF format when I need it and the searching the
file with a text editor.

So, although I will not be using your suggested template, thanks a lot
for pointing me in the direction of the LDIF format.
