Marek Mikus confirmed the deficiency immediately and several who experienced the bug also put supporting notes. In my report, I speculated that perhaps people who had at some point deleted a pre-3.5 tbuser.def did not have the conflict. I had never had occasion to delete a tbuser.def file, until I began experimenting to look for the cause of this bug. But I don't have information about others' history on this, so it's a mere "brainstorming" type of hypothesis I am making.
